US fees are set by the US government and paid in rupees at the exchange rate the Embassy sets; check the official fee page before paying. Travel to the consulate city is extra.
Questions about costs
- What does a US visa cost from India?
- The US government visa (MRV) fee is US$185 for visitor, student and exchange visas and US$205 for petition-based work visas such as H-1B and L-1, per applicant. Students also pay the SEVIS fee. Appointment help from AppointVisa is a separate ₹18,999 per applicant.
- Is the visa fee included in AppointVisa's fee?
- No. You pay the US government fee yourself, directly to the official system; it never passes through us.
- Is the visa integrity fee charged now?
- A $250 visa integrity fee became law in 2025, but it was not being collected when we last checked. We'll add it here once it is.
